Hotel room view
In this day and age, it’s shocking that this adage isn’t repeated with every breath of companies in any type of sales.
This week, Hotwire.com blamed me for what was ultimately a problem on their end. As a first time customer, I can also say that I will no longer be a customer. I wasted over $400 bucks on a room that was not accommodating to my guest and I. Two phone calls and a few emails later, I am still stuck in the situation with Hotwire pointing their finger at the hotel, and the hotel pointing their finger at Hotwire, and hotwire pointing their finger at me. The rude customer service supervisor did not help me, and I am out $400 dollars (now $500 because of the shady business).
It’s not hard to figure out how valuable a customer is over a lifetime, and for now, I will take my business elsewhere. Hotwire has been a true disappointment.

Better view from the new office now that the weather is nice!
It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership.
